Viettel tops in terms of mobile phone subscribers

Military-run Viettel tops the list of four mobile phone service providers in the country with over 19.4 million mobile phone subscribers, according to a survey carried out by the Ministry of Information and Communications.

The four mobile phone service providers in the survey include Viettel, MobiFone, VinaPhone and S-Fone.

According to the survey's results, Vietnam currently has a total of over 48 million mobile phone subscribers.

MobiFone ranks second, after Viettel, with more than 13.4 million subscribers, followed by VinaPhone, 12.1 million and S-Fone, 3.14 million.

The survey also showed that S-Fone has the lowest network performance of only 43% while it was 76%, 70% and 74% for Viettel , MobiFone and VinaPhone respectively.
