SGT: Receive the investment license
Saigon Telecommunication & Technologies Corporation (SAIGONTEL) has informed of being granted the license of investment to Teco – SaigonTel joint venture as follows:
On June 11th 2008, the HCMC People’s Committee granted the license of investment to Teco – SaigonTel joint venture for the project of Thu Thiem Software Park with area of 15.9 hectares at Thu Thiem new urban center worth of over USD1.2 billion. To deploy the project, the joint venture has set up TA ASSOCIATES VIETNAM Co., Ltd., in which SAIGONTEL has contributed 20% of chartered capital.
The project is implemented in 3 stages with objectives:
Construct infrastructure, office building, houses for experts;
Business production, software outsourcing, chip design;
Training for human resources, invest to Thu Thiem Software Park.
This is one of the largest IT projects in Vietnam. Teco Corporation (Taiwan) is currently managing Nangkang Software Park – one of the world’s most successful software parks.
