Main bourse boosts cooperation with Australia’s university
The Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE) and Australia’s Monash University on June 16 signed a memorandum of understanding on information exchange and human resource development cooperation.
Under the MoU, the two sides will cooperate in conducting research projects and organising seminars.
The cooperation is expected to help improve the capacity of Vietnam’s financial sector, Monash University’s Professor Keryn Chalmers said.
Vietnam’s securities market is in the process of becoming a channel for medium and long-term capital to serve the country’s industrialisation and modernisation process.
The market’s capitalised value reached US$22 billion during its booming period last year, representing 37 percent of the country’s GDP.
