Cuu Long delta expects good rice harvest
The Cultivation Department said the Cuu Long ( Mekong ) Delta has planted more than 1.5 million ha of summer-autumn rice.
Of the figure, more than 1.2 million ha of summer-autumn rice are developing well and are free from brown plant hoppers and ragged stunt disease.
The delta, the country’s largest granary, is expected to harvest a bumper summer – autumn crop with total output of about 7-7.7 million tonnes.
