PPC : Explanation for business result in Q1/08

Pha Lai Thermal Joint-stock Company (PLPC) has explained business result in Q1/08 as follows:

Profit before tax in Q1/08 : VND286,738,462,580

Profit before tax in Q4/08 : VND32,409,548,870

Increase : VND254,328,913,710

Reasons :

Profit from loan contract between Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) and PLPC

In Q4/07, operation of generators was suspended for periodical maintenance. Meanwhile, they were run as usual in Q1/08, thus profit from electricity production was higher.
