DNP: Explanation for business result in Quarter I/2008

DongNai Plastic Construction Joint Stock Company (DONAPLAST) has explained its business result in the first quarter as follows:

Profit before tax  1,155,050,765 753,730,417 + 53%

Reason:

Revenue in Quarter 1/2008 was VND36,436,166,801, a 44% decrease compared to VND65,036,388,326 in Quarter 4/2007 due to holidays.

In this first quarter, customers have accepted the increase in product price which did not changed in Quarter 4/2007 in despite of the increase in materials’ price. Therefore, profit in Quarter 1/2008 was higher.
