Japan fund buys 5 percent of DigiNet
The Ho Chi Minh City-based Dinh Gia Net Joint Stock Corp (DigiNet) and the Japan Viet Nam Growth Fund (JVGF) signed a strategic partnership agreement on March 21.
Under the agreement, the fund will purchase a five-percent stake in DigiNet, a leading company in the business management software sector.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, the chairman of DigiNet’s management board, Tran Dao Anh, said the agreement marked a new development for DigiNet.
“It offers DigiNet a good opportunity to enter a new market, Japanese companies in Vietnam , and later the Japanese market,” said Anh.
Junich Itoh, representative of JVGF and also general director of World Link Viet Nam Co, said in addition to capital investment, JVGF would help DigiNet expand its market.
He added there was a big market for producers of business management software industry.
JVGF, established in September 2006, has invested in 10 companies and enterprises specialising in IT, securities, floriculture and production of construction materials in Vietnam.
