Indexes continue to drop
Viet Nam ’s stock market continued its downward slide with both bourses seeing a drop in indexes during the March 20 trading session.
The VN-Index of the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange lost 8.63 points, or 1.5 percent, to 564.82 points. Total transactions reached 11 million shares valued at 542 billion VND.
On the Ha Noi bourse, share prices were rather low and the ratio of share price to earnings (P/E) of many shares decreased by up to 7 times, holding back the drop of the index.
Closing the session, the HaSTC-Index reduced 1.61 points, or 0.61 percent, to close at 196.17 points. About 4.1 million shares changed hands at a value of 204 billion VND.
