Viet Steel to invest 500 million USD in the south

Viet Steel Ltd Co has been granted licenses for two plants with a total capital of 500 million USD in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau.

The two plants include a rolling plant with capacity to produce 1.2 million tonnes per annual; and the steel ingot refining plant with a capacity to produce 1 million tonnes per annual, which are expected to be complete and operational at the end of 2008.
