Securities watchdog changes trading times

The Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange has been approved to adjust the daily trading time, the exchange announced on its website.

The third session will be shortened by fifteen minutes and the second session which is currently 30 minutes will be lengthened to 45 minutes.

The Ho Chi Minh Exchange said the adjustment would improve stock trading effectiveness.

The new trading times will be applied March 3.

New trading times:

8:30 - 9:00 : Session 1 - identify opening price

9:00 - 10:15 : Session 2 - continuous order matching

10:15 - 10:30 : Session 3 - identify closing price

10:30 - 11:00 : Put through

11:00 : Close
