Sabeco may sell 20 percent to foreign partners
Saigon Beer-Alcohol-Beverages Corp. plans to sell a 20 percent stake to foreign partners, Dau Tu Chung Khoan magazine said, citing the company’s chairman.
Ho Chi Minh City-based Sabeco, as the company is known, may sell the shares to two partners, from companies including InBev, Anheuser-Busch Cos., Heineken, Asahi Breweries Ltd., and a Thai brewer, Nguyen Ba Thi, chairman, told the newspaper.
The biggest beer producer in the Southeast Asian country raised about VND5.49 trillion (US$344 million) from selling a stake of about 12 percent in its first share sale last month.
