LSS: explanation for business result in Q4/2007

Lam Son Sugar Joint Stock Corporation (LASUCO JSC) has explained business result in Q4/2007 as follows:

Profit after tax in Q4/07 reached VND40,773,712,582 increasing 325% compared to that in Q3/07.

Reasons :

Sugar production usually starts from October to April, thus revenue increases rapidly in Q1 and Q4 annually.

In Q4/07, the company sold 36,359 tons of sugar, 4,530,742 litres of alcohol, thus net revenue gained VND262,028,759,605 or 281% compared to that in Q3/07.

The company improved production, saved expenses and reduced cost price.

Financial income in Q4/07 was equal to 174% of that in Q3/07.
