Sabeco raises VND 5.5 trillion from IPO

The Saigon Beer Alcohol Beverage Corporation (Sabeco) has raised a total of nearly VND 5.5 trillion from its initial public offering carried out on January 28.

According to the result of the IPO released by the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange on January 29, the average successful bid price is VND 70,003 a Sabeco share while the lowest successful bid price was VND 70,000 a share, the same with the initial price set for the IPO.

Sabeco auctioned over 128 million shares at its IPO, equivalent to 20% of its stake. The auction attracted 2,439 investors, registering to buy over 78 million shares.

As a result, 2,432 investors won in the auction, buying a total of 78,362,400 shares at a combined VND 5.485 trillion. Of these, foreign organisations and individuals bought a total of nearly 7.3 million shares.
