Au Vung Co gained US$50 million of export revenue in 2011
Au Vung Seafoods Company (Au Vung Co) was established in 2006. So far, Au Vung Co has achieved remarkable success in business. In 2008, Au Vung Co exported only 352 MT of shrimp, valued US$3.1 million. Two year after, it increased shrimp exports by 10 percent to 3,450 MT, generating total revenue of US$35.5 million.
In first 10 months of 2011, Au Vung Co reached export revenue of US$42.25 million, ranking the 20th in the top 30 seafood leading exporters in Vietnam.
Its key products - head-on shell-on black tiger shrimp (BT-HOSO) and headless shell-on black tiger shrimp (BT-HLSO) – are welcomed by consumers in the EU, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan markets.
Despite high price of raw shrimp and other input costs, Au Vung Co still set target to export 5,000 MT of shrimp for total value of US$50 million in this year.
The company plans to build a new factory in Lang Tram industrial park, in Bac Lieu province with the total investment of VND150 billion.
