Agro-forestry, fisheries exports up over 30 percent

Vietnam earned 21.6 billion USD from agro-forestry and aquatic product exports in the first eleven months of this year, a year-on-year rise of 30.6 percent, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).

Of the total export value, farm produce fetched 12.3 billion USD, up 36 percent; forestry products, 3.7 million USD, up 14.2 percent; and fisheries, 5.6 billion USD, up 24.9 percent.

By the end of November, rice export had reached 6.8 million tonnes, earning 3.5 billion USD, up 7.1 percent in volume and 16.7 percent in value over the same period last year.

The US , China , the Republic of Korea and Italia are major markets of Vietnam ’s agro-forestry and aquatic product exports./.
