Tra fish export up 29% in 9 months

Export of Tra fish rose 29% year on year to fetch to over US $1.3 billion in the first 9 months of this year, according to the Việt Nam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).

However, exports of the fish to Russia dropped 3% year on year to stand at US $43.6 million in the 9-month period. Tra export to the European Union (EU) increased only 6%.

There was a surge in exports of Tra fish in other markets, including the US, China, Hong Kong, Brazil, Mexico, ASEAN, and Saudi Arabia.
