HSBC again named best foreign bank in Vietnam

The Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) has recently been named the best foreign bank in Vietnam by FinanceAsia, the leading Asian financial publication group.

This was the fourth consecutive year the bank has received the prestigious award, which is based on such criteria as financial potential, successful business operations and network expansion.

HSBC is the first foreign institution which put a subsidiary bank into operation in Vietnam, in January of 2009. It is also the first wholly foreign-owned bank setting up both branches and transaction offices in the burgeoning market.

HSBC Vietnam General Director Thomas Tobin said that winning the award for the fourth consecutive time affirms clients’ trust in HSBC’s consistent, professional and continuously-improving services.
