Vietnam gold prices up slightly

Saigon Jewelry Holding Company (SJC) announced Thursday gold prices rose by VND50,000 per tael over Wednesday to VND20.93 million (US$1,175) per tael (1.2 ounce) in Ho Chi Minh City.

In Hanoi, a tael cost VND20.95 million, the company said.

In the world market, gold was $931.9 per ounce at 5:30 p.m. Vietnam time Thursday, the same as the previous day, but there were times it was $940 per ounce during the day.
