Image and brands key to marketing
The importance and impact of image and trademark building in an increasingly competitive marketplace was stressed at a workshop in HCM City yesterday.
Organised by recruiting and integrated human resource solutions provider Navigos Group, the workshop was titled: "What Does Your Image and Personal Brand Say about You in 3 Seconds?"
The workshop made a pitch to major clients of the group and online recruiter Vietnamworks.com to pay heed to their professional image and personal brand.
Many leading international image consultants and executive coach experts were invited to make presentations at the workshop, including Lynne Marks, president of London Image Institute; Jeffrey Jones, managing director of Human Factor International; Sonya Barnes, president of Harris and Barnes Image Consulting; and Phil Guo, Business Development of Human Factor International.
The event is part of ongoing efforts by Navigos and Vietnamworks.com to improve the level of human talent in Viet Nam and to contribute thus to national development, says a Navigos press release.
Jonah Levey, the group’s CEO, says the workshop will help participants gain useful tips and skills that not only help them leverage their personal image but also motivate their teams.
The workshop introduced the essentials of personal image and brand, including profesional image, visual communication, using protocol and etiquette to "out-class" the competition, levels of dress, building a professional wardrobe and leveraging image in a company.
"Personal brand and image is a new concept in Viet Nam, however, it is becoming more important and recognised as a business tool to gain a personal competitive advantage," Levey noted.
