Japan helps central region in economic development study
The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the central coastal Da Nang city People’s Committee have jointly held a meeting to discuss a development strategy to link Da Nang and its adjacent provinces.
The targetted areas include Da Nang city and Thua Thien-Hue, Quang Nam , Quang Ngai and Binh Dinh provinces.
The July 10 meeting aimed to devise a development strategy for central key economic region and build an urban development strategy and a linked region for Da Nang city.
It also focused discussions on the transfer of technology as well as urban development and planning experiences to relevant agencies and a master plan for Da Nang urban development until 2015.
According to JICA representatives, the central key economic region is lacking economic infrastructure though having great development potentials.
