Visa has introduced its issuer-offered Click to Pay solution, streamlining online payments by enabling cardholders to complete transactions with just a few clicks, eliminating the need to enter lengthy card and shipping information.
The method offers consumers a rapid, safe and convenient checkout experience with global acceptance.
Click to Pay is now available in an expanded number of places where cardholders prefer to shop online, it said.
By adhering to EMVCo standards and leveraging the Visa Token Service (VTS), Click to Pay seeks to revolutionise digital checkouts.
The use of multiple layers of advanced security provided by VTS helps enhance authorisation rates and reduce fraud in digital commerce.
Not only does Click to Pay save time for customers, but it also helps reduce cart abandonment rates, benefiting both consumers and retailers.
"Visa is committed to driving innovation in the payments landscape and enabling a seamless, secure, and convenient online shopping experience for consumers,” Dung Đặng, Visa country manager for Việt Nam and Laos, said.
“With e-commerce being so ubiquitous in everyday Vietnamese life and in line with the Vietnamese government's digitisation goals, we are excited to bring this innovative solution to Vietnamese consumers through the support of our key banking partners.
“Click to Pay with Visa will transform the way people shop online, preparing them for the future of a more connected digital economy.”
Several major banks in Việt Nam — including Techcombank, VPBank, Vietcombank, VietinBank and MB Bank — have been early adopters of the Visa “Click to Pay” solution. Techcombank and VPBank Visa cardholders can now use the feature.
The service is supported by payment platforms like Alepay, Payoo, Sacombank, and VietinBank. Visa has partnered with Payoo to roll out Click to Pay across its merchant network.
Shoppers can now enjoy faster, smoother payments at partners such as KOI Thé, AEONESHOP, Galaxy Cinema, GearVN, Elsa English, and more. Other participating sites include LG Electronics Vietnam, British Council, PVI Insurance, and batdongsan.com, via Alepay.
More merchants are expected to sign up in the coming months.
