PepsiCo to build $82mn snack production factory in northern Vietnam
The People’s Committee of Ha Nam Province in northern Vietnam last week granted an investment registration certificate to Pepsico Foods Vietnam Company, permitting it to build a snack production plant at a cost of over VND2 trillion (US$82.4 million).

The facility, whose construction is slated for completion in the third quarter of 2025, will turn out an estimated 23,000 metric tons of snacks each year, and supply its prodts to the Vietnamese and Cambodian markets.
The factory will cover an area of 80,000 square meters of land at the expanded Dong Van I Industrial Park in Bach Thuong Ward under Duy Tien Town.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, chairman of the Ha Nam People’s Committee Truong Quoc Huy said that the project would contribute to raising the province’s industrial production value in particular, while fostering its socio-economic growth in general.
Huy asked the provincial departments and agencies to create favorable conditions for the firm to operate in the locality.
The provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development was tasked with boosting potato cultivation to supply the material to the factory.
The chairman of the province directed the Duy Tien Town administration to review the number of workers and upskill employees to staff the plant, reported the Vietnam News Agency.
Huy spurred PepsiCo into action by mobilizing funds and providing necessary equipment to ensure the timely execution and successful operation of the project.
Training courses for local workers are to be offered as part of the project.
