Steel stocks foster market's gain
On the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE), the VN-Index increased 0.38 per cent to 1,243.37 points with the market breadth turning positive. In the morning trade, 226 stocks climbed while 189 stocks declined.
The market's liquidity was high with over 520.9 million shares traded, worth over VND11.7 trillion.
The VN30-Index also posted gains this morning, up 0.61 per cent to 1,284.67 points. Sixteen stocks in the VN30 basket gained while 12 decreased.
Steel stocks gained this morning with many big names like Hoa Phat Group (HPG), Nam Kim Group (NKG) and Hoa Sen Group (HSG).
On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange (HNX), the HNX-Index gained 0.26 per cent to 293.86 points while the HNX30-Index declined by 0.27 per cent.
