Viettel Post posted $2.3 million in after-tax profit
Viettel Post reported an after-tax profit of VND54 billion (US$2.4 million) in the first quarter of the year, surging 68 per cent from the same period last year.
According to its first quarter’s financial report, its net revenue slightly rose by 3 per cent to VND877 billion. However, the cost of goods sold reduced, with the gross profit rising by 49 per cent to VND103 billion.
By the end of March, its total asset was VND1.6 trillion while its equity increased VND54 billion to VND544 billion.
The company said it would list its shares on the Unlisted Public Company Market (UPCoM) this year.
Currently, its share is priced at some VND80,000 each in the Over-The-Counter (OTC) market.
In its shareholders meeting in February, Viettel Post approved the plans for VND4.7 trillion consolidated revenue and an after-tax profit of VND271 billion in 2018.
By the end of 2017, it reached a total turnover of VND5.1 trillion or 112.3 per cent of its yearly target.
It issued 11.7 million shares to pay dividends to shareholders last year.
