VN stocks pull back slightly
Vietnamese shares pulled back slightly on both local markets this morning, as investors were cautious about the recent market volatility.
The benchmark VN Index inched down 0.1 per cent to close at 541.92 points, and the HNX Index on the Ha Noi Stock Exchange lost 0.3 per cent to end at 76.05 points.
Banks ended mixed, with Military Bank (MBB), Sacombank (STB) and Vietconbank (VCB) making gains.
Energy stocks made gains after global oil prices rebounded yesterday.
Petrovietnam Gas Corporation (GAS) was up 0.6 per cent, and PetroVietnam Drilling and Well Services Corporation (PVD) gained 1.4 per cent.
The stock markets traded shares worth VND1.32 trillion (US$58.7 million).
