VN-Index rises slightly
The VN-Index managed to gain just 0.02 per cent to end this morning at 582.83 points on the HCM Stock Exchange.
The gainers outnumbered the losers by 104 to 87, while 111 other stocks remained unchanged.
Blue chips dragged the market lower, however, as the VN30, which tracks the top 30 shares by market value and liquidity, was down 0.16 per cent to close at 603.34 points.
Liquidity was modest, with almost 80 million shares worth VND1.13 trillion (US$51.8 million) being traded by the end of the morning.
Realty stocks were still the most purchased shares, as three of the five most-active stocks this morning were from this sector.
FLC Group (FLC) led the market, with 11.3 million of its shares being exchanged, but its price fell by more than one per cent to stand at VND9,400 per share.
On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index increased 0.42 per cent to finish at 88.32 points, with a modest turnover of VND371.3 billion ($17 million).
The market condition here was fairly positive, with 85 stocks rising, 76 declining and 197 going flat.
VNDirect Securities Co was leading the trading here, with more than three million of its shares being exchanged, soaring 6.1 per cent to close at VND13,900 ($0.64) per share.
