EFI: Explanation for difference of over 10 percent in profit after tax in financial statement Q.III / 2014 year on year

On 27 Nov 2014, Education Financial Investment Joint Stock Company explained the difference of over 10 percent in profit after tax in financial statement Q.III / 2014 year on year as follows:

Reason:

- Gross profit from selling goods and services of holding company Q.III/ 2014 was VND 714 784 318, lower than Q.III/ 2013 (VND 894 831 781). The reason was that service cost of Q.III/ 2014 (security, labor, hygiene etc.) was VND 1 068 338 281, higher than Q.III/ 2013 (VND 855 553 546)

- Administrative cost of holding company in Q.III/ 2014 was VND 420 385 176, an increase of VND 334 616 146 year on year because some expenses increased year on year (housing rental, electricity, procurement of instruments etc.)

- Financial income of holding company in Q.III/ 2014 was VND 442 412 612, lower than Q.III/ 2013 (VND 641 768 691) because In Q.III/ 2014, deposit interest of the Company was not settled, which caused the financial income to decrease year on year. Moreover, Q.III/ 2013 had a provision of VND 297 541 069 for short-term investment, which led to an increase in profit
