VNL: Announcement of tax settlement for 03 years

On December 09, 2013, Vinalink International Freight Forwarders (“Vinalink”) received Decision No.4874 dated December 06, 2013 by the Taxation Bureau of Hochiminh City about tax treatment and administrative sanctions after checking tax settlement for three years 2010 - 2012. Accordingly, the Taxation Bureau decided to collect tax arrears: VND2,899,586,860 of corporate income tax, VND489,655 of value added tax and VND1,158,833,337 of late payment and administrative penalty. The main reason is because the inspection team calculated and excluded the service commission expenses which exceeded 10% of reasonable expenses (not including costs). However, Vinalink said that the collection of tax arrears will not affect the dividend payment this year.
