VST: Explanation for consolidated business result in Quarter 3/2013

Vietnam Sea Transport and Chartering Joint Stock Company (VITRANSCHART JSC) has announced explanation for business result in quarter 3/2013 as follows:

-         Revenue in Quarter 3/2013 increased 29% compared to in Quarter 3/2012 but business result in Quarter 3/2013 was –VND23.9 billion, narrower than the loss of VND28.6 billion the same period of last year, because:

+         Business result of parent company in Quarter 3/2013 was -VND25.6 billion, narrower than the loss of VND29 billion the same period of last year because the firm sold VTC Light ship, leading revenue from selling ship was VND 20 billion.

+         Economic difficulties, profit from subsidiaries was VND1.7 billion, decreasing more than VND704 million compared to in Quarter 3/2012.
