DPR: Explanation for business result in Q1.2013

Dong Phu Rubber Joint Stock Company (DORUCO) explained the difference in profit after tax between Quarter 1/2013 and Quarter 1/2012 as follows:

-         In Quarter 1/2012, sales volume: 4,266.83 tons; average selling price: VND70,191,233/ton.

-         In Quarter 1/2013, sales volume: 3,431.11 tons; average selling price: VND62,063,959/ton.

-         Reason:

+         DORUCO’s sales volume in Quarter 1/2013 was lower than in Quarter 1/2012, and its average selling price in Quarter 1/2013 also decreased VND8,127,274/ton or 11.58% compared to Quarter 1/2012.

+         DORUCO’s operating profit in Quarter 1/2013 decreased VND33,340,393,913 or 30.13% compared to Quarter 1/2012.

+         Other profits in Quarter 1/2013 lost VND1,409,684,596 or 55.14% compared to Quarter 1/2012.

+         Therefore, DORUCO’s profit after tax in Quarter 1/2013 decreased VND28,143,065,665, or 28.58%, compared to the same period of 2012.
