SGT: SGT likely to be halted trading

On February 22, 2013, the Hochiminh Stock Exchange received the Quarter 4/2012 financial statements of parent company and consolidated financial statements of of Sai Gon Telecommunication & Technologies Corporation (stock code: SGT). According to the statements, the parent company’s profit after tax in 2012 is –VND224.89 billion, and the undistributed profit after tax at December 31, 2012 is –VND305.17 billion.

At present, SGT stock has been traded in the form of a controlled stock code since April 13, 2012, based on Decision No.46/2012/QD-SGDHCM dated April 11, 2012, because the parent company’s profit after tax in 2011 is -VND113.79 billion and the undistributed profit after tax at December 31, 2011 is –VND80.27 billion.     

Therefore, if the Corporation still has loss after having the 2012 audited financial statements, SGT stock will be halted trading based on Point 1.3 - Clause 1 - Article 20 of the Listing Regulation on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange. After the Corporation has plan to overcome, SGT stock will be traded as a controlled stock (with the trading time limit of 15 minutes in the periodic order-matching session to determine a close price).
