DCL: Explanation for profit and loss in Q4.2012

Cuu Long Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Corporation (PHARIMEXCO) explained the difference in profit after tax in the consolidated financial statements for Quarter 4/2012 compared to Quarter 4/2011 as follows:

-         Profit after tax in the consolidated financial statements for Quarter 4/2012: VND10,470,353,592;

-         Profit after tax in the consolidated financial statements for Quarter 4/2011: (VND23,352,965,502).

-         Profit after tax in Quarter 4/2012 increased by VND33,823,319,094, or more than 10%, compared to Quarter 4/2011 because of the following reasons:

-         Financial expense in Quarter 4/2012 decreased by VND8.415 billion to VND14.377 billion, mainly thanks to the decrease in borrowing interest rate.

-         Selling expense decreased VND15.602 billion because Pharimexco changed sales policy for pharmaceutical products:
