VNA: Explanation for business result in the 6 months of 2012

Vinaship Joint Stock Company explained the fluctuation in consolidated business result the 6 months of 2012:

-         Profit after tax in the 6 months of 2012: (VND35,382,353,260)

-         Profit after tax the 6 months of 2011: VND5,466,130,805

-         Decreased: 747.3%,  reason:

-         In 2012, economic difficulties leading to revenue from selling and service supply in the 6 months of 2012 decreased VND37 billion compared to the same period of last year.

-         Besides, fuel, materials expenses increased strongly, specially price of FO and DO oil. Cost of goods sold rose over VND8 billion, selling expenses went up over VND3 billion.

-         Gross profit from selling and service supply in the 6 months of 2012 decreased over VND45 billion compared to the same period of last year and in Quarter 1/2012. The company liquidated Chuong Duong ship so other income in the 6 months of 2012 decreased 97% compared to the same period of last year.
