FDG: Explanation for business result in Q1.2012

Dongthap Trading Corporation (Docimexco) has explained the fluctuation in profit between Quarter 1.2012 and Quarter 1.2011 according to Docimexco’s consolidated financial statements:

-         Profit after tax in Quarter 1.2011: VND34,820,867,145

-         Profit after tax in Quarter 3/2011: -VND25,032,561,018

-         Reason:

+         Revenue in Quarter 1.2012 only was 54% compared to the same period of 2011, because the difficult general of rice and seafood.

+         Gross profit in Quarter 1.2012 was VND10.7 billion compared to the same period of 2011, decreasing VND48.7 billion, because the ratio of cost of goods sold to revenue in Quarter 1.2012 was 97% higher than 90.8% in Quarter 1.2011.

+         Financial income decreased sharply near VND27.5 billion, financial expense increasing over VND26.5 billion from VND22 billion in Quarter 1.2011 because bank interest rates rose highly compared to Quarter 1.2011.
