Ministry hikes petrol import tax
Import taxes levied on various kinds of gasoline will be raised by 3 per cent to 7 per cent, pursuant to a circular issued by the Ministry of Finance (MoF) yesterday. The circular also stipulated that import taxes on diesel fuel for cars will increase from 3 per cent to 6 per cent and other fuel will rise to 8 per cent. This circular took effect yesterday
