Vietnam Treasury to sell 7tr dong G-bonds on April 26
The State Treasury of Vietnam will organize an auction for 7 trillion dong worth of government bonds for 2-year, 3-year and 5-year tenors at the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) on April 26.
The debts will be issued on April 30 under the book entry form, the bourse said in a statement. Coupons are paid annually on the issuance anniversaries while principle is paid once at maturity. In the latest auction on April 16, the State Treasury sold 1.979 trillion dong 2-year bonds at a yield of 11.06%, 2 trillion dong 3-year debts at 10.8% and raised 2 trillion dong 5-year bonds at 10.8%. Fixings for 2-year, 3-year and 5-year government bonds fell 0.14%, 0.35% and 0.45% from the previous auction, respectively. Yields drop as market participants expect that the pace of price gains will continue to slow this month, experts commented. Yields on the benchmark 5-year government debts slipped 0.33% last week to 10.89%, the lowest level since November/2010, according to daily fixings compiled by Bloomberg.
