CPI growth predicted at less than 0.1 pct
The prediction was confirmed by Minister of Planning and Investment Bui Quang Vinh at a working session of the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee on April 20.
It was based on the fact that the CPI in March rose by 0.16 per cent against February, a record low in the past 20 months or even compared with the same month of the past three years.
The CPI in the first quarter of this year showed signs of decreasing gradually thanks to the strict application on monetary and credit policies to control the state budget spending and the prices of agricultural products in the domestic market.
