Two trade expos open in HCM City
Two trade exhibitions, Propak Viet Nam 2012 and Plastics & Rubber Viet Nam 2012, opened yesterday in HCM City, displaying modern technologies across many industrial sectors.
Co-organised by VCCI Exhibition Services Co in collaboration with Bangkok Exhibition Services Ltd - Allworld Exhibitions member, and Messe Dusseldorf Asia, both exhibitions are taking place at the Sai Gon Exhibition and Convention Centre, and will run until March 2.
Propak Viet Nam 2012 will provide opportunities for processors and packagers from across Viet Nam and the region to discover the best in technology, innovation, machinery and services for processing and packaging for food, drink and pharmaceuticals.
Highlights this year include pavilions and exhibitors from leading industrial countries such as Austria, mainland China, Germany, Italy, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.
The event has a total exhibition area of more than 6,400sq.m, attracting 339 trade exhibitors from 23 countries. It is expected to attract 7,500 trade visitors.
Alongside the event, some featured conferences will be organised, including one on advances in packaging and processing of traditional foods, organised by the Viet Nam Association of Food Science and Technology.
Another conference will deal with Lean Application in the Plastics and Rubber Industry, organised by the Viet Nam Association of Testing Laboratory and Energy Saving in Plastics Industry by Viet Nam Plastics Association.
