HSI: Explanation for business result in Q4.2011

General Materials Biochemistry Fertilizer Joint Stock Company explained the fluctuation in profit and lost between Quarter 4/2011 and Quarter 4/2010:

- Profit after tax in Quarter 4/2010: VND5,874,383,295

- Profit after tax in Quarter 4/2011: VND2,658,015,648

Therefore, profit after tax in Quarter 4/2011 decreased VND3,216,367,647 because:

- In Quarter 4/2011, a return of sold goods worth VND10,491,060,152 arose and decreased HIS’s net revenue.

- In Quarter 4/2011, the Mekong River Delta was heavily flooded, and this affected the winter-spring harvest late from 1.5 to 2 months. Therefore, sales of fertilizer in Quarter 4/2011 went down.
