Gold prices increase VND1.2 million/tael
One week after the Lunar New Year holiday (Tet), gold shops in Hanoi started opening again on January 28 and the domestic price of gold hovered around VND45.9 million per tael.
At 10.30am, the Doji Gold and Gems Group traded SJC gold at VND45.6-45.9 million/tael, VND1.1 million/tael higher than on January 21.
Meanwhile, the price of SJC gold at SJC Hanoi Jewelry and Gemstone Joint Stock Company was listed at VND45.6-45.9 million/tael.
At Hanoi's Bao Tin Minh Chau Company, SJC gold was posted at VND45.5-46.2 million/tael, up VND1.2 million/tael. Thang Long Dragon gold traded at this company also rose to VND44.5-45.2 million/tael.
Gold shops opened on January 27 in Ho Chi Minh City with gold prices standing at VND46 million/tael.
