Ex-Dividend date of EDL-Gen Share
Concerning to the Resolution of the Extraordinary BOD’s meeting (EDL-Gen) dated on 30/08/2011, LSX will inform you about the method of Ex-dividend day (In case of Cash Dividend) which is on 24 October 2011.
When Listed Company (Currently EDL-Gen, BCEL) distribute of a company's profits by paid out in Cash Dividend to its shareholders, the shareholder whose name appears in the shareholder register book will have rights to receive dividend. LSX call the day without rights to receive dividend “Ex-Dividend date”
Ex-dividend date is the day, which is usually one business day before the “record date” (The date of confirming beneficial shareholder on the shareholder register book) [T-1 day Prior to record date] on 25 October 2011
When investors buy the stock on its Ex-dividend date or after, they do not have any rights to receive dividend. If investors sell the stock on or afterward the Ex-dividend date, the investor still have rights to receive dividend.
