Petrol price to remain the same

The Ministry of Finance has urged domestic petrol wholesale companies not to increase petrol prices at present.

Companies reported that after August 26 price cuts, petrol prices on the world market had kept on increasing.

Currently facing a loss of VND1,000 per litre, companies had consequently resorted to calling for price increases.

The ministry confirmed that wholesale companies could continue to use the petroleum price stabilisation fund while applying methods to balance demand and supply.
