The Kingdom is set to hold the third world ecotourism conference from October 3 to 5, aiming to further marketing and developing the industry.

Tourism Ministers from most of the Asia Pacific countries are expected to be among the 400 participants from 30 countries, Minister of Tourism Thong Khon said this week.

“We are providing opportunities for successful ecotourism practitioners from the private sector to present their innovative business case and share their inspiring success stories,” he said at a press conference announcing the event.

Ministry of Tourism Deputy Director General Ngeb Samouth said the future for Asian tourism in coming years was tourists from emerging economies such as China and India.
