1. Mobilizing and lending rates:
- The VND interest rates:
+ The lending rates were 16.5%-20% p.a for agricultural and rural development and exporters, 18-21% p.a for other productive and business enterprises, and 22-25% p.a for the non-productive sector.
- The USD interest rates:
+ The lending rates were commonly 6-7.5% p.a for short term and 7.5-8 % p.a for medium and long terms.

2. Inter-bank transactions turnover:
According to the express reports of commercial banks by July 27, the total amount of transactions in the inter-bank market reached about VND 167,926 billion and USD 2,720 million, i.e. VND 33,585 billion and USD 544 million per day averagely.
Most transactions in VND were overnight term, with the total amount of VND 88,289 billion, accounting for 53% of the total amount of VND transactions. There were marginal transactions for 12 month term.
Overnight transactions in USD was 1,519 million, accounting for 56% of the total amount of USD transactions.
3. The average inter-bank interest rates:
The interest rates by July 27 were as follows:
For the rates in VND, the average inter-bank interest rates for 2 week, and 3 and 12 month terms were on a slight upward trend with an increase of 0.05-0.42 percentage points p.a. The average rates for other terms decreased by 0.01-1.54 percentage points p.a. The average rates for demand term decreased most remarkably (Down by 1.54 percentage point p.a)
The average overnight interest rate was 12.67% p.a. The rates for other terms ranged between 13.29 - 15.88% p.a (Excluding demand loans).
For the rates in USD, the average interest rates for overnight, 1 week and 3 month terms were up by 0.12, 0.18 and 0.66 percentage points p.a respectively. The average rates for other terms decreased. The rate for 12 month term declined most remarkably to 3.34% p.a from 4.20% p.a.
The average overnight interest rate was 1.12% p.a, up by 0.12 percentage point p.a. The rates for other terms ranged between 1.90 - 3.34% p.a. There were transactions for 6 month term while no transaction for demand term was counted.

4. Exchange rate
The average inter-bank exchange rate continued to remain stable. Commercial banks bought foreign currencies from their clients and foreign indirect investors.
The foreign exchange position of the banking sector remained slightly positive. The average inter-bank exchange rate was 20,608 VND/USD. Commercial banks quoted the buying and selling VND/USD rates at 20,565-20,615.
