Maruhan inks a deal with microfinance firm

Maruhan Japan Bank and the Seilanithih Microfinance Institution have signed an agreement to work together, according to a statement yesterday. Maruhan general manager Onishi Shizuo said  the agreement would benefit both parties.

“By joining for-ces with us, Seilanithih will be able to expand the size of its loan portfolio and customer base,” he said. “In turn, we will be able to tap into the national networks and infrastructure that Seilanithih and our other MFI partners have already built to service hard-to-reach rural areas and this will make Maruhan Japan Bank even more attractive to regional partners.”
