Over 60% of enterprises to use e-custom by 2015
The customs sector is striving to open e-custom procedures for 60% of enterprises nationwide by 2015, according to the Việt Nam Customs.
The level is equivalent to the average rates of other advanced countries in the Southeast Asia in 2010.
The sector is determined to raise the percentage of e-custom payment to 90-95% by 2015, reduce checking time to 3-5 minutes through container scanners and 30-60 minutes for both common examination and container scanners.
Meanwhile, major border gates and key transportation routes will apply technical means like cameras and positioning satellites for doing the work.
The Viet Nam Customs is tightening loopholes and shortcomings of the current customs procedure system and enhancing the safety of the e-custom database by applying digital signatures.
