Blue chips bolster markets
On Feb. 25, Stocks rose again on both of Viet Nam's markets, despite a slight decline in market liquidity. The VN-Index in HCM City ended the session at 466.96 points, a gain of 1.23 per cent

Gainers outnumbered losers by 189-89.
Blue chips performed solidly, with nine of the 10 largest capitalised stocks gaining ground.
Masan Group (MSN) was up 4.6 per cent, software producer FPT Corporation (FPT), up 4.7 per cent, PetroVietnam Finance (PVF), up 4.7 per cent, Phu My Fertiliser (DPM), up 2.5 per cent, and property trader Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAG), up 0.4 per cent.
Only insurer Bao Viet Holdings (BVH) posted a loss among blue chips, with a 3.8 per cent slide.
Banking stocks returned positive, with an average gain of 2.7 per cent.
Trading volume hit 28.6 million shares with a turnover of VND654.6 billion (US$30.2 million).
In Ha Noi, the HNX-Index gained 1.8 per cent to close at 97.36 points on Feb. 25.
Volume was 19.5 per cent lower than on Thursday at 28 million shares, worth VND441.7 billion ($20.4 million).
