Monday's LSX shares trade robustly
The LSX Stock Exchange Index climbed 4.09% and comfortably closed yesterday at a new high of 1,110.68 points.
Both listed stocks, BCEL and EDL Gen, performed robustly in value and volumes. Investor confidence was bullish in another display of strong support.
Turnover gained momentum at 1,976,897,750 kip (US$244,605), just 7.54 percent below Tuesday's opening high of 2,138,173,500 kip (US$264,593).
BCEL bank volumes received investor support again and increased 15.74 percent on Friday's closing figures, with a turnover of 96,835 shares valued at 1,317,974 kip (US$115,662).
The share price closed strongly up 4.66 percent at 9,650, another very positive gain of 92 percent compared to last week's opening price of 5000 kip (US$0.62).
EDL Gen (electricity distributor) received another day of strong support evidenced by 204,400 shares being traded, reaching a new high in daily turnover of 1,042,440,000 kip (US$128,983). EDL's share price moved up 3.92 percent to close at 5,100 kip.
