CPA Australia to train State's auditing staff
On Jan. 13, the State Audit of Viet Nam (SAV) signed a co-operation agreement with CPA Australia to enhance exchanges of information between the two organisations and encourage collaboration in developing and strengthening the accounting profession in Viet Nam.
The five-year agreement focuses on professional training and development through local and international seminars and workshops and scholarships, as well as professional network expansion.
CPA Australia CEO Alex Malley called the agreement a demonstration of the State Audit's commitment to advancing the integrity of the accounting profession.
"The State Audit's role in conducting internal auditing services for the Vietnamese Government is integral not only in developing Viet Nam's economy, but also sends a strong signal to the region that Viet Nam is serious about its efforts to build a transparent and respected market economy," Malley said.
Under the agreement, CPA Australia will award five full scholarships to State Audit staff this year to assist the office in furthering its three strategic development objectives through 2020, including human resources development, quality development and global integration and co-operation.
