Cellcard tuk-tuk advert complaint is driven off

A Cellcard television advertisement has raised the ire of Vorn Pao, president of the Independent Democracy of Informal Economy Association.

The advert shows two foreigners travelling in a tuk-tuk, but Vorn Pao claimed the tourists were shown to be scared by the driving abilities of the tuk-tuk driver, who failed to abide by Cambodian traffic laws.

However, the Ministry of Information has sent a document to Vorn Pao claiming the advert was beneficial for society, as it showed the improvements to standard of living brought by information and communication technology.
